You're in great hands.
Hi friend,
Welcome - we’re so glad you’re here!
We aim to make all of our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of.
Coming into our clinic, you’ll be invited to take a seat, slip off your shoes (barefoot is the true Byron Bay way) and sip on some filtered water.
During your first visit, a Chiropractor will listen to your health story, review your medical history and do a thorough assessment of your health.
Yes, you’ll be adjusted on the first visit! *Provided testing shows this is a safe option for you.
We work to get you out of pain and eliminate symptoms as quickly as possible. The key is identifying and addressing the root cause of your problem.
From here, we will explain any areas that require correction, and discuss options for treatment.
Whether you’re passing through, or a local, we welcome you with open arms as part of our Byron Chiro Crew.
Here’s what you might expect during
your initial appointment:
Health Questionnaire
Relevant orthopaedic, reflex and muscle testing
Posture assessment
Thorough assessment of the spine and other areas relevant to your presentation
Specific and skilful adjusting
Care that is tailored to your situation and goals
We can refer for X-rays when clinically relevant
This varies across individual patients, depending on age, and what you would like us to help with.
FAQs
Q: What should I wear to my appointment?
A: Whatever you feel comfortable in. Most people wear their active-wear or casual clothes that allow easy movement.
Q: Will I have to get undressed or wear a gown?
A: We may ask you to remove bulky outer clothing items, such as coats and shoes. Otherwise, there’s no need to get undressed.
Q: Will my body get ‘cracked’?
A: Our Chiropractors are trained in a variety of techniques, some of them include manual adjustments which can produce a ‘crack’ or ‘pop’ sound, and we also have a number of other tools or methods to treat the body that don’t create that audible noise.
So, if you don’t like ‘cracks’ we have other treatment methods. If you love the feeling of a manual adjustment, we can serve you too! We work with what feels right for you.
Q: I’ve had some Xrays taken in the past, should I bring them to my appointment?
A: Yes, please bring along any radiographs, medical imaging or medical reports you may have had recently, or in the past.
Q: Where can I find the New Patient Paperwork?
A: You’ll receive your New Patient form via email, immediately when you make your booking. Please take approximately 10 minutes to fill it out online, before your appointment.
Q: Will I get a reminder for my appointment?
A: An email is sent, immediately on booking the appointment. A confirmation SMS is sent the day before your appointment. Our reschedule/cancellation policy is 24 hours notice.
